ceanothus - A Selection

A spreading shrub that will form abundance of low evergreen foliage, which in late spring will burst with dusky blue flowers for an amazing display of Californian Lilac groundcover. So useful for adding structure to borders and beds in the garden, this variety has been awarded an RHS AGM for garden performance. Ceanothus thyrsiflorus repens fits in perfectly planted at the front of sunny borders around other shrubs, or as an evergreen structural addition throughout your garden. Height: 1m (3').

This compact, spreading evergreen shrub has arching stems which are smothered in small, shiny, deep green leaves with a bronze tinge. Ceanothus 'Blue Sapphire' will burst into bloom from late spring to early summer, bearing dense, rounded clusters of tiny, vibrant blue flowers, creating a magnificent display that will be adored by bees.
