From May to June, Ceanothus 'Puget Blue' produces conical, deep blue flower heads that smother the foliage, creating a stunning, hazy effect. In a sheltered location, the small, dark green leaves are evergreen, providing year-round colour. This hardy, medium-sized shrub is ideal for the back of mixed borders or as a colourful wall shrub when trained against a sunny wall. Height and spread: 2.5m (8?).

The RHS AGM Ceanothus 'Italian Skies' has glossy, dark green leaves and a mass of deep blue flowers in April and May.
